Koh Mook
Introduction
Koh Mook is one of the three similar small islands located a little south of Koh Lanta - the other two being Koh Kradan and Koh Nga (also called Koh Hai).

Koh Mook is best known for two things. The first of these is the stunning sand spit which stretches out into the sea and on which the wonderful and reasonably priced Sivalai Resort is built (pictured above).
 |
The second is the island's famous Emerald Cave. |
This is a cave in one of the island's seacliffs that leads, via a tunnel through the roock, to a hidden lagoon inside the island. |

See the tour below for more on the Emerald Cave, which can be visited on daytrips from Koh Lanta, Koh Kradan and Koh Mook. |
The water in this part of the Andaman Sea is crystal clear in high season. |
 |
Koh Mook has a Robinson Crusoe feel to it that, while intoxicating at first, may being to pale for some visitors after a few days. For most visitors a 3 night stay is about right. It is a particularly good idea to combine a trip to Koh Mok with a visit to Koh Kradan, Koh Lanta and/or Koh Lao Liang, which together combine to offer the best castaway style island-hopping holiday that the Andaman has to offer.
