Introduction

	Deep Water soloing in Thailand is the ultimate tropical climbing experience. Climb straight out of a boat with just your climbing shoes and your chalk bag (and your shorts unless you really want to show off). It is one of Thailand's most exhilarating and unforgettable experiences. DWS in Thailand: advice - don't grab the rockface too low or you will be knobbled by barnacles.
You are unencumbered with rope and gear. You can push yourself to your limit with no fear of consequence. Your flow is not interrupted by placing gear, clipping a bolt or worrying about a belayer.
	Where else can you climb a first ascent onsight that is 60 feet long and at your limit - in less than 5 minutes? Deep water soloing in Thailand upholds the highest standards and ethics.
No bolts, slings or aid hammers mar the rock. Just you and the rock until the moment you fall and start again.

There are currently five main DWS areas in Thailand. These are Railay / Ao Nang, Koh Hong, Koh Yao Noi, Koh Lao Liang and Koh Phi Phi. The potential for new route development is huge - if you fancy finding and naming routes, contact us.

Deep Water Solo Safety Advice

	Deep water solo should be totally safe, but often people do silly things, like climbing one above the other on a rock face - if one of the upper climbers falls off, he may collide with someone lower down.
This usually happens because there are too many people sharing one route. People get bored of waiting for their turn and start climbing underneath someone else.
	This won't happen on one of our trips, as we only run private trips. This way, we can ensure that there are never too many people on a route at once - people can paddle around to free routes, rather than all being stuck in the same spot because there aren't enough kayaks to go round.
