Rust competes with dust to spoil the atmosphere of this 10 year old resort, which looks every day of its age. There is a smallish pool and a pleasant beachbar, but the restaurant and lobby areas are depressingly utilitarian, and will please no-one, except people who miss the factory canteen back home. The accommodarion here is in a sorry state, and tightly packed togther, creating a claustrophobic atmosphere.
Accommodation
Beachfront
These units are in reasonably good shape for the price charged, if you can put up with the bad taste in which they are decorated. Cheap, garish artworks compete with lurid fabrics to give the guest a headache - if you book one of these, you'll need to keep your sunglasses on indoors. The pool is located between the northernmost units and the sea, whereas nothing stands between the southernmost units and the sea, making them the best of a bad lot.
Garden View
These units are in worse shape the the beachfront, and have horribly gloomy terraces. The accommodation is so densely packed that virtually no light reaches them.
Superior
These newer bungalows (2 years old) are the only rooms recommended in this resort. For families, a connecting pair is an economical choice. Better choices exist on Lanta, though, so only book this if desperate.
Prices
The above rates are net per room per night and inclusive of service charge and breakfast for 2 people.
