This worthwhile resort is located on Klong Tob, a tiny beach south of Klong Nin. This beach isn't great for swimming, so the resort operate a free shuttle service to Klong Nin.
The Moonlight has one of the best reputations for friendly and efficient service on the island, and has 2 bungalows types which are particularly good value for money.
Because of the less desirable location, the prices are lower here, so you get a better room than you would get on the better beaches.
The shuttle buses to and from klong Nin are a bit of a bore, so many people hire a motorbike, which is a relatively sage proposition on laid-back Lanta provided you already know how to ride one - don't learn to ride here in Thailand.
The shared facilities of this resort are attractively presented and never too crowded - the large pool, in particular, is a highlight.
Accommodation
River View
These large and smart air-con units have river views which are particularly romantic at night.
Each unit has a pair of comfy and classy wooden loungers on the sizeable terrace. The beds are easily big enough for parents to share with an infant, and are attractively presented.
Forest View
These units are marginally bigger than the Riverview units.
The forect views aren't particularly inspiring, and don't justify the extra expense - go for a River View instead.
Sea View
These smart, attractive and sizeable units have great sea-views, which are seen through a fringe of coconut trees. They are close to the beach, restaurant and bar. The northernmost unit has the best view and is closest to the shared amenities, while the southernmost has offers the most privacy.

Beachfront
These more up-market bungalows benefit from gleaming hardwood floors and a jacuzzi on the balcony.
Unless you fancy a jacuzzi on your terrace there's not much point in going for one of these units, as the Seaview Bungalows have just as good views.
