This establishment is decorated in a wooden, minamalistic theme that works well, as there are distinctly Thai touches to the design. The minimalist tone is softened by the large vases of real flowers dotted about, and by the soft yet upbeat jazz music which is discretely piped into the shared areas of the hotel.
The modern design won't wow everybody, but it won't upset too many people either. All guests agree, however, that the Fraser suites offers lots and lots of space on high floors for not much money, making it one of the best places to stay in Nana zone. Residents here get free entry to the nearby and excellent Bed Supper Club.
Currently, as at December '11, we can't think of a better Bangkok choice for people who like a huge view, space and comfort.
The typically Thai smiley service here is of a particularly high standard, with even sweaty travel journos being offered a glass of lemongrass-infused water and a cold face towel. There are 32 floors, so the upper floors offer fabulous views. The large pool is the most attractive of the shared facilities here. The contemporary design works well, and the pool is surrounded but not hemmed in by other skyscrapers. The spacious pool terrace gets lots of sunshine untill 3pm.
Accommodation
All the suites have gleeming wood floors and floor-to-celing windows that let in lots of light and afford great city views, especially from the higher floors.
One Bedroom Deluxe 60 sqm
There is almost as much useful space in these units as in the One Bedroom Superior units. The Deluxe have smaller kitchens than the Superior units, but most travellers won't care about this.
The Deluxe units use space more effectively than the Superior units, so they seem just as spacious as the Superiors, so travellers are recommended to choose a Deluxe unit instead of a Superior Unit. Some units face south, others face north, with the ones facing north offering the best views.
One Bedroom Superior 73 sqm
The only reason to choose one of these units is that some of them are located in the bulding's corners.
One Bedroom Premier 80 sqm
There is ample space in these huge units for an extra bed. There is a TV in the bedroom, and also one in the living room, so making these units a good choice for parents travelling with one or possibly more children (contact us to see if your family fits).
The children can watch TV without disturbing the parents, and the parents can get nighttime privacy by closing the bedroom door. The upper floor uinits offer magnificent views, particularly at night.
Two Bedroom Superior
These massive and smart units offer great views thgrough their huge windows, and are one of the best choices in the city for families. The only problem with these units is availability, as there are only two of them. When they are full, it is possible to book two connecting rooms.
Prices
The above rates are net per suite per night and inclusive of service charge and breakfast for 2 people.
