Pimalai Resort - Deluxe Rooms
There are three different types of these rooms
(a) Type a - these are the units closest to the sea, with private balconies and with the best sea views - they are located on the top floor of the row of Deluxe buildings closest to the sea.
(b) Type b - these get no significant sea views and do not have private balconies, so for most guests are rather a disappointment. They are located on the ground floor of the row of buildings behind the row of buildings containing the type (a) Deluxe units
(c) Type c - the rest of the Deluxe units.
We know which room numbers the best type (a) units are, so can request one of these better units for you. While there is no guarantee that you will get the room we request, so far our friends at Pimalai have always granted our room requests.
These immaculate and well appointed rooms are decorated and furnished in an understatedly elegant style with a distinctly Asian feel. Pastel paints and glowing hardwoods form a subtle backdrop on which to showcase the vivid splashes of colour donated by Thai silk fabrics. Classical Thai artwork adorns the walls without dominating the atmosphere, resulting in a room that is as easy on the eye as it is comfortable for the body.
In order to complement rather than dominate the exquisite beachfront environment, there is not a single large building in the whole resort. This low-density, unobtrusive style is implemented with the Deluxe rooms by locating them in 2-up, 2-down buildings which are dotted around beneath the trees in a pleasingly low density. Some have excellent sea views, all have a balcony or terrace.
While the Deluxe rooms are immaculately clean, comfortable and offer all the conveniences to be expected form a 5 star resort, the main benefit of a Deluxe room at Pimalai is that it comes with a “Pimalai pass” - you can come and stay at Pimalai.
