The 3 year-old Flora Resort’s sea-front location and spacious, beautifully landscaped grounds make it a prime choice for a Khao Lak holiday stay.
The hotel has two pools, a beachfront pool and another pool set back from the beach. This second pool, further back, has several water slides and spouts, so is popular with children. The beachfront pool is less popular with children, so making it more popular with adults.
Accommodation
Jacuzzi Villa
With 2 large and well-equipped bedrooms, these villas are a great up-market family accommodation choice. Children are spoiled for choice for places to play – there is the Jacuzzi on the terrace, the resort’s main pool nearby and the sea 20 metres away. Superb accoutrements complement these well-equipped and elegantly decorated rooms, and the master bathroom has outside and inside showers, plus a tub.
Jacuzzi Villa
These are large and immaculate villas in which all but the most spoiled of couples will feel at ease. Fawns, tans, browns and whites provide a muted backdrop on which are showcased vivid splashes of colour, in the form of brightly-hued bed throws and flower arrangements.
Beachfront Villas
These are the same as the Garden Villas, but have direct beach views. In the high season these are popular romantic choices for those who like to be lulled by the sound of waves lapping the shore, but don’t book them in low season, as the waves are then big, and crash noisily on the beach. Both the Garden and Beachfront villas are a good choice for couples.
Deluxe Room
Each of these very smart rooms has a Thai-style day-bed, complete with a Thai-style triangle cushion and a sausage pillow. These are good spots to read a book, or to accommodate a small child. An extra bed can be installed, but will result in the rooms being rather cramped.
Pool Access Room
The pool access terrace features an underwater seat contoured to fit the average person’s back and equipped with Jacuzzi spouts. If your back pains haven’t been pummeled into submission by a lengthy session here, then maybe try the bathroom’s Jacuzzi instead.
The luxurious and over-sized bathtub not only has Jacuzzi spouts installed, but a head-rest at each end - perfect for romantic 'where-do-I-put-my-feet' games. With the taps located in the centre, this will be the most comfortable bath for two that many couples will ever have experienced.
The day-bed, equipped with Thai-style and sausage cushions, is big enough for two people to relax in comfort. It is possible to accommodate a child on the day-bed, and to install an extra bed. These rooms are located near the resort’s pool that is equipped with child entertainment features and do not have private or quiet terraces, so are not recommended for honeymooners.
They are a good choice for families with a maximum of 2 younger children, who will fit fairly comfortably into the accommodation provided. When the children are asleep, the parents can still enjoy the pool, or either of the Jacuzzis, and can lock the bathroom door and put the huge tub to romantic uses .…
