Amanusa Resort, Khao Lak
Independant Review

This is currently Khao Lak’s best budget hotel located on the beach. The resort has only been open a couple of years, but has already earned a reputation for excellent service and, unusually for a more affordable resort, for good food too. Even the breakfasts are good.

Although there are amenities a fifteen minute walk away, many people leave the resort only to go on one of the fabulous excursions which make Khao Lak such a great destination.

Situated on a quiet beach, this resort is recommended for couples and families alike. The bungalows, whilst on the small size, are clean and comfortable, with coffee- & tea-making facilities and a decent-sized wardrobe area. They have clean bathrooms with outdoor and indoor showers, the indoor one of which has hot water. The complimentary slippers and bathrobes are a nice touch.

The landscaping is immaculate and looks particularly beautiful at night, when loads of little lights softly illuminate the foliage and pool.

Sun-beds on the gorgeous beach are reserved for guests, which is so long that, even though it has quite a few resorts, it never feels crowded and is great for a long walk.
