Kayak Ao Nang / Railay
Introduction
The Ao Nang & Railay area offers more varied kayaking than anywhere else in southern Thailand. All three of the quality daytrips below are available for pickup from either Ao Nang or from Railay.
Kayak Bor Thor
 |
This coastal kayaking day is currently the best coastal kayaking trip from Ao Nang for those who only want to do a gentle bit of kayaking, and not serious paddling. It is less crowded than the Ao Thalane trip (see below). Click here for more. |
Kayak Koh Hong
 |
This offshore trip is a much more gentle kayaking day out, which includes only an hour or so's paddling. The kayak is used to explore the mangrove swamps growing inside the lagoon at Koh Hong. The trip also includes a visit to Koh Hong's gorgeous beach (it's dazzlingly white, so sunglasses are essential) and snorkelling to two small islands in Hong's archipelago, Koh Lading and Koh Pakbia. Click here for more. |
Kayak Ao Thalane
 |
This is the kayak daytrip which includes the most kayaking, with just over an hour's kayaking in the morning through the large coastal mangrove swamps on the eastern edge of Phang Nga bay, about 20 minutes drive north of Ao Nang. After a leisurely lunch, visitors can either go for more kayaking, or swimming at a pretty inland spot. Click here for more. |
Railay Sunset Kayaking
 |
This is a great way to explore the Railay peninsula. It includes a minimum of 2 hours paddling, and a maximum of 4 hours. This tour is only avaiable from Ao Nang, not from Railay. Click here for more. |
