Pung Chang Cave

If you like nature at its most bizarrely beautiful, then this river cave forms a pleasant diversion.

It is stuffed full of a huge variety of exotic rock formations.

This cave is located half way along the road road from Ao Nang to Phuket (an hour from Ao Nang, a bit further from Phuket).

 
It is located only a couple of minutes off the road, so makes a convenient stop to break a taxi journey between Ao Nang and Phuket.
It is not an extreme experience, more of an experience of being awed by the beauty and peculiarity of some of mother Nature's creations.
People who have never seen limestone stalactites before will be stunned.
This trip is suitable for people of all ages, from babies to oldies, all can go.
The rocks supposedly resemble all manner of creatures, the one on the right is supposed to be an elephant.
The cave is about 600 metres long.
You start off in a canoe.
Then you transfer to a raft.
Finally you walk for 300 metres in shallow water.
The stalactite on the left really is exactly that colour, we haven't played around with the colours.
These seried ranks of drip edges are simply surreal.

To take this trip you have to arrive at the caves between 10am and 2pm.
