Description
This five-tier waterfall in Phanom Bencha National Park has swimming pools at all five levels, and is one of the biggest in Krabi province, even in the dry season. You can either take a gentle stroll up to levels one or two, or a much stiffer hike up to one of the higher levels, where a beautiful panorama opens up before you.
This is a great attraction for more energetic people, who can reach the top, and also for small children, who love any unusual place for a swim.
Huay To Waterfall, with its five-tiered cascades and pools, is Phanom Bencha's most popular attraction; the cascades are located a short and lovely walk from the parking area near the park entrance gate.
A footbridge crosses the creek just before reaching the first of the five tiers of plunging water and it provides the first good vantage point from which to view the falls. It is possible to sunbathe on a little sandy beach at the base of the crystal clear pools and watch butterflies rise on the updrafts.
Huge emergent trees tower 40 metres above the lush cool green of the surrounding forest and are accompanied by the soothing sounds of songbirds and cicadas.
Join-on Day-trips
Following negative feedback we no longer offer join-on trips to the waterfall. This is beacuse these join-on trips require the visitor to wait around while other customners are picked up from their hotels, then wait around while they finish their lunch, get dropped off etc.
We have decided not to bother with this form of mass tourism any more, but it is a bit cheaper, so if you want to go to the waterfall but can't afford a private trip (see below), just book a join-on trip at the travel desk in your hotel after check in - they won't offer al the private daytrips we do (see below), but you will get a chance to see the waterfall, even though you might not fancy the other mandatory attractions on offer with the waterfall.
Private Trips
The waterfall alone isn't enough of an attraction to justify a day trip, so we combine it with other attractions to form a multi-attraction private daytrip.
