Hot springs & Emerald pool

Introduction

The hot springs and emerald pool are a pair of attractions located a couple of kilometres apart. They are always treated as a pair of attractions - that is, you either go to both of them or neither of them. This is because they are so close together that you might as well see both of them. They are a great attraction for children, for whom unusual swimming experiences are a sure hit, and also with older people, who will particularly enjoy the hot springs.

Hot Springs

	Just over an hour from Ao Nang are the hot springs, where you can relax in water that is more than warm - it's actually hot.
The hot spring water cascades down a hillside, forming a waterfall where over the millenia the water has deposited minerals to form a series of natural bath-tubs - the perfect place to ease away aches and pains.
	When you get a bit too hot, simply jump into the river below to cool off.

Emerald Pool

	The nearby crystal pool is a lovely place to swim and it has a natural water-slide, which is lots of fun for the young, and for the not-so-young too.
To get to the emerald pool and hot springs, you take a boardwalk through the jungle and back, about 1 km in length.

Join-on Day-trips

Following negative feedback we no longer offer join-on trips to the attractions near Krabi Town. This is beacuse these join-on trips require the visitor to wait around while other customers are picked up from their hotels, then wait around while they finish their lunch, get dropped off etc.

We have decided not to bother with this form of mass tourism any more, but it is a bit cheaper, so if you want to go to the hot springs & emerald pool but can't afford a private trip (see below), just book a join-on trip at the travel desk in your hotel after check in - they won't offer all the private daytrips we do (see below), but you will get a chance to see the hot springs & emerald pool, even though you may or may not particularly fancy the other mandatory attractions offered by the hotel tour desk as part of their standard itineraries.

We reccommend you combine the hot springs and emerald pool with visits to one or more other attractions, to form a multi-attraction private daytrip. There are several different private daytrips available, each of which combines the hot springs / emerald pool with different attractions. National Park Fees

Note that our private daytrip prices for trips to the Hot Springs and the Emerald Pool always exclude entrance fees. Please pay these fees on arrival at the attractions, at the entrance gates. The fees are currently as follows:

• Hot Springs - adults THB 100
• Hot Springs - children under 12 years THB 50
• Emerald Pool - adults THB 500
• Emerald Pool - children under 12 years THB 300

These prices are subject to change without prior notice. We can not control the fees levied by the National Park authorities, who sometimes put the fees up without letting us know.
