Sunset Fishing
Description
Stop press, December 2011, we no longer promote this trip, as people hardly ever catch anything.
If you are staying in Ao Nang and want to go fishing fairly nearby, you have two quality choices: (a) Gillham's Fishing Park or (b) take return taxi to Phuket and take a fishing daytrip from Phuket.

You are taken you out just behind Chicken Island a few hours before sunset. The fishing boats trolls to Chicken Island, to try to catch some big ones, like giant trevally, kong mackerell or snapper.

Then the boat stops and you'll have time to try your own luck with professional fishing equipment. A local fisherman will guide you to help you make a catch. Don't be too disappointed if you don't catch really big fish, you need to go to Phuket for the biggest fish, click here for more on Phuket big-game fishing. |

Watch as the colours of the sunset envelope you on the open sea. A truly memorable experience.
