This resort, located just back from the centre of Ao Nang beach, is the only high rise hotel in Ao Nang and offers fabulous views from its upper floors. This hotel consists of four types of rooms. All rooms are inexpensively furnished and inoffensively decorated. The rooms are newly refurbished, spotlessly clean and in tip top condition. All rooms are equipped with flat screen TVs and wireless internet. The small swimming pool has limited loungers, is unattractively located and is a disappointment. If guests are looking for a resort with a beautiful pool, they should look elsewhere.
All the room types described below, except for the penthouse, are draped in white everywhere - the rooms are all very modern with white floors and ceiling-to-floor windows, some of which offer fantastic views of the sea. The rooms in this hotel all have a sea view. Some of the rooms’ views are hampered by the ugly rooftops of other buildings.
Accommodation
Superior Rooms
These are nothing special. As the shared facilities in the resort (particularly the pool) are nothing special too, we don’t particularly recommend this room type. If you’re stuck for a place to stay because everywhere else is booked solid, one of these will be OK.
Ground Superior
These rooms are located on the ground floor and are very gloomy, due to the overhanging walkway that blocks out almost all light. Don't do it to yourself, if everywhere else is full, go holiday in Blackpool instead.
Sea view Suite
These badly-designed units waste space on a silly hallway between the bathroom and bedroom. Not only is this hallway a waste of space, it also separates the bathroom from the outside window, which is a waste of a sea view. It’s not much of a sea view though, marred by the ugly roofs of the other buildings between the hotel and the sea.
Junior Suite
These sizable units offer great sea views. The corner units offer sea and also mountain views through their extra windows, through which floods lots of light, making these cheerful places to stay. Honeymooners can happily ensconce themselves in one of these, closing out the world and spending lengthy periods in their room. When such honeymooners come up for air the best place to recover a bit of strength is at one of the beachfront restaurants a minute’s’ walk away. A swim in the sea is another good option, but the pool is a poor place to recover or relax – it’s really only good for a quick dip to wake up in the morning. We can request a corner unit for you. There is a sexy shower that has a window right into the bedroom, which is intended for couples who want to raise the romance factor. These are seriously sexy rooms and are highly recommended.
Penthouse Suite
The décor in these rooms is completely different from that in the other rooms and will suit some people, but not others. These suites are classy and classic at the same time, but some people will find them slightly gloomy and over-furnished – fans of minimalism should book elsewhere. The hardwood-paneled walls complement the gleaming polished hardwood floors perfectly and there are vivid splashes of colour, donated by silk soft furnishings, to lighten the mood. These rooms have a very authentic but some will feel dated Thai-style feel to them. To contrast with the traditional décor there is a flat screen television, a surround-sound system, a kitchenette, a personal computer, a walk in wardrobe, a vertical Jacuzzi, a bathtub, a massage chair, and most importantly a Jacuzzi on the balcony.
These full-glazed balconies are excellent places to enjoy the view on fine days and also the atmosphere, whatever the weather, as a steaming hot Jacuzzi is even more romantic when the balcony is being lashed by torrential rain. We recommend the northernmost room, as from only that one can you can enjoy the sunset while raising the temperature with your other half in the balcony’s Jacuzzi.
