Introduction
This unimpressive but clean guest house is a good choice for people who just want a clean place to sleep in the Khao Sarn zone. There are no shared facilities except a small cafe that serves a bad breakfast, but the New Siam is located almost opposite the excellent lobby/lounge area of the Wild Orchid guest house just off fun Rambuttri Road, which is currently Khao Sarn's best place to relax. The rooms at the New Siam are modest and some have no windows, but they are clean and most have air-con units which work reasonably well.

You can have a go at booking this place on the website shown in the image, but you can't reliably book this place on this or any other website. Bargain besement guest houses like this one can not be reliably booked in advance, so it's best not to bother trying. In the low season you probably won't have a problem just walking in here. |
During high season, if you arriving sometime soon after midday you will also probably get a room. If you are arriving late though, it's best not to rely on getting a room at the New Siam, as this and also our other budget recommendation the Erawan, are often full.

All are small and none have pleasant lighting.
Fan Room
These do not have an ensuite or window.
Air-con
These have an ensuite with hot shower. There are some rooms available with a window, but most don't have one. These clean rooms are very good value.
