New hotels often offer immaculate rooms at great prices, and the Aetas is a perfect example.
The rooms are decorated with modern art that won't please everybody, but fits rather well with the up-to-date atmosphere in this hotel. The two restaurants in this Nana zone hotel aren't terribly inspiring, but are adequate for breakfast and a poolside lunch - almost everybody dines out. The pool is a fair size and gets morning sunshine.
Accommodation
Superior
These rooms are not recommended, as the Deluxe are much bigger, but not much more expensive.
Deluxe
The 7 foot bed and sexy bathroom will please honeymooners. These sexy bathrooms are the latest trend in Bangkok hotels, and most new and renovated hotels are getting them.
The idea is that the sight of your newly-coupled other half in the shower and/or bath will inspire you to even more passionate coupling. The glass panel that separates the bedroom from the bathroom displays the sexy goodies on offer - thankfully for honeymooners in need of a more recent birthday, the lighting isn't too bright. These clean, bright and immaculate rooms are good value for money and well equipped with a flatscreen TV, bath, executive chair, writing desk, but inexpicably only an armchair, not a sofa. The interior designer dropped the ball here, there's enough room for a sofa, and an armchair just isn't as cosy for couples.
Executive Suite
All of these are in the corners of the building, so offer views in two directions from the huge windows.
They are tastefully decorated in a style that won't wow anybody, but won't offend anybody either. It's a pity a bit more Thai influence didn't go into the design, but their are nods here and there to Thai style, to remind you that you are lucky enough to be in Asia.
The room numbers ending in '03' are the best ones to go for, as they have a huge window next to the bathtub, so you can watch the city lights twinkle, while tickling your other half's bottom with your big toe.
In addition to being an interesting honeymoon option, these units are a good family option too, as there are giant flatscreen TVs in both the living room and bedroom (so parents don't have to put up with kiddy TV, and can close the bedroom door and get some romance in), plenty of room for an extra bed, and a sofa that can be made up as a bed for younger children.
