The contemporary yet subdued architecture of Layana’s lobby sets a stylish standard that everything about this resort subsequently lives up to. An essay in understated elegance, everything in this immaculate resort is presented in the best possible taste. One of this resort’s biggest draws for couples looking for a quiet hideaway is that children under the age of 18 years are not allowed to stay here, except if granted a special dispensation from the management.

The resort also refuses to take bookings from large groups of single men, as they also tend to be as noisy. These strict rules work well to ensure peace and tranquility. Together with the resort's spaciousness and superlative service standards (staff always outnumber guests), and with the talents of the French chef, they account for Layana’s high return visitor rate.

The resort’s accommodation is built around a central area that has been laid to lawn, resulting in an un-cramped, spacious feel. Layana is a 4-star resort with the style and elegance, but not the range of facilities, of a 5-star resort. The spa is particularly tastefully designed. The resort is situated on a prime spot on Long beach and is highly recommended.

Garden Pavilion

These rooms ooze style, class and taste. They have a definite emphasis on the chic, but without the sacrifices to comfort that so often accompany it. Built in 11 blocks of 4 rooms each, the upstairs rooms are slightly lighter and airier than are the downstairs rooms, but the downstairs rooms are in no way dark or gloomy, due to their large windows. A large daybed complements the oversized bed.
