| Thai Hut Resort, Koh Lipe Independent Review Introduction

                          | | Set away from the beaches in the tourist village, the Thai Hut offers simple fan and air-con bungalows. Rooms are attractive but no frills, and have pretty hard mattresses. They're well sized and nicely kept, and they have small decks out front - not that the view of the neighbouring shop is anything spectacular. |
                          | The floor of each bungalow is covered with different bits of plastic lino, which have patterns that are a mix of lots of different children’s cartoon characters – it looks like they were obtained as leftovers from a disney lino shop. There are better places to stay on Lipe for the same money, so this place is only recommended if the better places are all full. | | Most people, when staying on an island, prefer to stay in a resort on the beach. On Lipe, the Moonlight is the budget place to choose. If the Moonlight is full, which it very often is, then this place is a reasonable choice.   Prices
