| Pattaya Song Resort, Koh Lipe Independent Review IntroductionThis ugly resort sits on and spoils the rocks at the western end of Pattaya beach. Huge raw concrete pillars support scrofulous and badly maintained bungalows. The concrete box restaurant offers none of the rustic charm present in the better budget resorts, but does offer good Italian food, if you can put up with the offensive and coarse shouted monologues of the Italian owner.

                          | | Set on the side of a cliff at the far western end of the beach, the bungalows at Pattaya Song offer incredible views. That's good, too, because you won't want to spend much time looking at the rooms themselves. | The concrete bungalows are particularly unattractive - musty and damp, with splotches of mold on the walls. The bamboo huts are quite a bit brighter and tidier, and not bad value for the price - though their cold water bathrooms are somewhat dank. If Lipe is full when you arrive then maybe stay here for a night, before finding somewhere better. If everywhere is booked solid, then jump on a boat and leave, maybe to Koh Bulone, Koh Lao Liang or Koh Sukorn.   AccommodationThe accommodation is above basic and very clean, making it great value. Each clean and smart fan bungalow has a hammock, a clean bathroom and mosquito net, and a comfortable bed. If you are looking for a budget bungalow on Pattaya beach, look no further.   Prices
